Based out of North Carolina...........IGB-Entertainment recording artist Kirby Hamilton, Jr. aka "PHUNKPLAYAH" has been bringing top quality music and entertainment by way of "Ol Skool" Funk / Classic R&B-Soul / Smooth Jazz / Jazz Funk and Contemporary Gospel-Inspirational Funk. Several internet radio stations have put his work in rotation, and some have charted up to the Top Ten (Smooth Jazz / Latin Jazz / Inspirational). PHUNKPLAYAH continues to perform his seventies, eighties, and nineties Funk show throughout the NC, "DC", SC, Va. and Ga. areas with that heavy Roger Troutman-Parliament/Funkadelic-Sly Stone-The Time-Chuck Brown influence, while also adding a taste of Smooth Jazz and Jazz Funk whenever possible. His next Jazz CD "BASEMINT" will be released later this year along with his Contemporary Gospel Funk CD "FUNK THROUGH FAITH". His earlier vinyl recordings from the late seventies and early eighties selling on Ebay internationally and are considered great collector's items. He has shared the stage with such artist as The Dramatics, Bootsy's Rubber Band, The Emotions, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Zapp & Roger, One Way, and Ice Cube. Phunk has recorded with Atlanta based seventies Funk band "BRICK", and also Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre'.
With his extensive background in casino promotions, marketing, and nightclub management, this artist applies the same strategies by getting the crowd interactive with the show. He can also customize his show to fit the needs of the event. Technology has allowed PHUNKPLAYAH to perform as a "ONE MAN BAND" (as seen on the VIDEO section of this site.....Duo.....Trio....or with his full band THE FACULTY of FUNK. The Faculty can be seen by clicking the You Tube icon on the "PHUNK'S WEBSITE section of this webpage. IGB-Entertainment also assist with flyer designs, promoting your event and venue on various websites, gifts and door prizes for your audience (if budget allows) and a strong street team in certain areas.
